Mbappe Strikes Again!

 

In today’s blog post, I will be writing about the “French Wonderkid”, football star Kylian Mbappe(“Mbappe”). After today’s post, I hope the reader has a better understanding of the quick ever so changing life of Mbappe. I will first introduce Mbappe by giving some context and information on his early life and background. Then, I will discuss today's current news regarding the world-class footballer.

Early Life:

Mbappe was born and raised in the capital and populous city of Paris, France. Since a young age, Mbappe had always had a love and passion for football. This passion would be quickly discovered as Mbappe would quickly become one of the best and most talented young players in all of France. Such notable abilities of his include his elite speed, scoring/finishing, and his dribbling skills. 

With such abilities, he would be quickly signed by the Italian professional football club Monaco FC.

Monaco FC:

While in Monaco, he would continue to work and improve his game. With such improvements, Mbappe would not only be considered a talented young French player but one of the most talented and sought-after teenage players of all time. After winning a Ligue 1 title with Monaco; Mbappe would then sign a deal with Paris Saint Germain(“PSG”) making him one of the most expensive transfers of all time. The transfer would be worth €180 million making him the most expensive teenage transfer of all time.

PSG:

At PSG, Mbappe would take his game to the next level where he was no longer considered one of the best young players in the world. He would now be considered one of the best players in the world. Mbappe is currently PSG’s second-all-time leading goal scorer. In addition, during these years he has also won a great number of trophies and hardware. Such as, winning the FIFA World Cup, FIFA World Cup Best Young Player, and French Player of the Year, as well as four Ligue 1 titles and three Coupes de France. Overall, Mbappe's play, and resume are second to none. He is worth it!

Current News:

In today's current news, Mbappe has shockingly asked to leave PSG as soon as January. This news shocked the football world due to Mbappe recently signing a contract extension with the club this past May. In this signing, Mbappe decided to stay at PSG rather than join his childhood dream club, Real Madrid. A few months later, Mbappe reportedly stated that he feels his relationship with PSG is “broken". This is reportedly due to many factors. Such as considering the PSG transfer window a failure, relationship with star teammate Neymar, and regretting the overall renewal of said contract due to “political pressure”. All in all, the likelihood of PSG granting Mbappe’s request to leave in January seems highly unlikely. But in the world of football, no one truly knows. Should PSG accept his request to transfer, this summer seems like a more likely timeframe. As for what club he will potentially transfer to, whether it is Real Madrid, Liverpool, or Manchester City, we will soon find out.
