French Giant vs Scoot Henderson

In today's blog post, I will be writing about Victor Wembanyama ("Victor") and Scoot Henderson ("Scoot"). After reading today's post, I hope the reader learns and has a better understanding of these two talented future NBA players. This blog post will be separated into three separate paragraphs. First, we will learn about Victor; then we will learn about Scoot. To conclude, we will discuss their NBA futures.

Victor:
Victor is a French-born and raised basketball player from Le Chesnay, France. As a son of two former athletes, his father being a long jumper and his mother being a basketball player, sports was always in his DNA. Since a young age, Victor has always had a love and passion for sports, specifically basketball. Victor was taught and introduced to basketball as a child by his mother. Victor’s mother not only introduced him to the game but also coached him. This coaching would eventually lead Victor to quickly dominate the local club level. This dominance would be quickly noticed as by the age of ten he would join the youth system for French professional basketball club Nanterre 92.” Victor would later leave Nanterre, as he was named Pro A Best Young Player for the 2020-2021 season. He would then sign briefly with EuroLeague club ASVEL. Where he would repeat winning the Pro A Best Young Player award. Victor would then opt out of his contract with ASVL and sign with his current team Metropolitans 92.

Scoot:
As for Scoot, he was born and raised in the United States. Scoot’s love of basketball started at a young age as his commitment and love for the game are strong. Scoot attended and played high school basketball at Carlton J. Kell High School in Marietta, Georgia. Scoot’s explosive and dominating play on the court led him to be recruited by top universities across the country. Coming out of high school, he averaged 32 points, seven rebounds, and six assists per game. Due to this, he was ranked a five-star recruit and one of the top players in his respective 2021 class. Scoot would eventually decide on taking his talents to the NBA G League over playing collegiate basketball. Scoot is currently a member of the NBA G League Ignite.

NBA Futures:
For their respective NBA futures, Victor and Scoot are NBA locks. At this point, it is just a matter of seeing who will be drafted first between the two. According to many insiders and experts, Victor is the current odds-on favorite to be drafted first overall. With Scoot coming in second. With that being said, any team that drafts either player will be extremely lucky. On one hand, you have a generational talent in Victor who is approximately 7'4" who can shoot like Kevin Durant and defend like Rudy Gobert. While in the other hand, you have Scoot, an explosive guard similar to prime Derrick Rose who in any other year would be the clear number one pick. Overall, these two players are worth all the hype. This was confirmed when Victor and Scoot played against each other and their respective teams this past Tuesday, October 4, 2022. In this game, Victor scored a whopping 37 points, shooting 7-11 from three, with 5 blocks. As for Scoot, he scored 28 points, with 5 rebounds and 9 assists, with a team win. They will meet again tomorrow Thursday, October 6, 2022, as Victor and the Metropolitans try and go 1-1 on the preseason matchup.
